Default emblems

I was wondering how to get the black off my fender and tailgate emblems like the all chrome look.

acetone, some people have done it on the vehicle, but i dont recomend it

Or you can use Laqcuar (or how ever you spell the word) thinner.

M.E.K or methyl ethyl ketone, not sure on spelling. but it's fast drying and doesn't leave much residue. that's what i used.

I used acetone to do mine and just used painters tape around the emblem about 2 inches on all sides keep it from getting on the paint. Make sure though, if you've ever had a emblem replaced, due to a having a fender replaced or whatever, that its the same. I say this because when I did it to mine, the tailgate emblem worked perfect, passenger side, perfect, but then when i went to the driver side it wouldn't come off to save my life. And i thought back, i had that fender replaced 3 years ago when a woman hit me in a walmart parking lot lol so when they put the new fender on, a new emblem was put on too, and something about it won't let the black come off. I have no idea why. Anyway, just something to think about...

same here just did one emblem yesterday i used acetone but make sure yu deff dont smear it on the paint or yu will F it up
