Default Thinking about a 300w LED light bar from eBay...

So I been looking for an LED bar spot to go with my 120w LED Flood... I wanted Bright & cheap, No money for rigid industries. If I was going to spend money on LED bars, I might go with one or two PIAA 18" RF18. Seen them in the store & it was only 4 LED & it was bright! 8 or 16 8W PIAA LED's would be something! But don't want to spend much, So looking at this 300W LED bar offered for $180~$240. I got him down some, Deal of a life time here!! jk

So I asked him about rigid....

yes, quite a few have mounted a 30/32" bar behind the grill. You may have to cut the support in the middle, but those that have done it said no problems doing it.

Yep.

And knockoff cheap-ayss LEDs, vastly overstated output and chit cornstruction to boot, lol.

There's a reason the Good Ones cost what they do.

Hope it's got an actual warranty ye kin use - written in a language ye kin cipher ....

Now ye know how they fund their military .

Yup, if he paid $170 for the 32", that is about $100 too much (here is one for $69 shipped). Plus 32" bars are 180 w.
Was the $170 price in the original post for a 50" bar? Those are 300w.

And I do find it ironic that so many will buy 3 "cheap" lightbars for $600+, but for not too much more they could have gotten a single "real" lightbar that puts out more light than the 3 cheap ones together.

If you want a little extra light, then fine, a cheapie one will help (the 32" bar I linked to above has been sitting in my e-bay wish list for a while), but when you start buying multiple cheap ones for more light, just save up and do it right the first time.

I actually just purchased some custom light bars (30w, 3240lm) for around $200 that I will be posting up once I get them and install them.

I have one 22 inch from there. I have two single row 7 inch ones or so for my back rack for backup lights off amazon. Haven't bought anything else lighting wise

Okay Guys, Looks like I paid for a True 180w light bar That draws 200w. where other eBay LED light bars don't draw rated power. 180W cheap light bars that only draw 130w~160w. I would guess a 300w 50" would draw 200W like my 30" does draw, I had my hands on a 50" 300W eBay one too but didn't test power draw. I still paid $160US for that 300W 30" I guess I'm okay with a true 180w light bar. Still kinda Embarrassed I paid a lot, still cheap then what they are charging in the 4x4 shops around here. I seen a few 30 inchers for C$399.99CAD~$449.99CAD & looks the same as the one I got. I wonder how much they paid per unit? $30 a peace for 500 pcs? I wonder how much them store bought LED bars draw? I'm sure the ebay ones are rejects of big batches that companies order. Big reason why it is way cheaper.

Here in this video this guy tested ebay light bars with a Amp meter, Not drawing rated power I'm guessing thats why eBay ones are not as bright as High end USA made light bars and USA made ones have better optics.

((At 6:15 in vid))

Yeah, Just buy USA made light bars from a store like everyone here is saying.
