A vehicle is only worth what someone will pay for it.
The two things I would do is look at similar vehicles to see what they are selling for and go from there. Then of course KBB it.
Also what someone who lives in Alabama may have a different answer than someone in New york.

I'd start at 10k to be honest. Mines not that nice and I'd start close to that.
That said, it's hard to find a clean truck that old around here, if your market has many it would be a hard sell at that price.
Or you could sell it to me for 7 and be done.

If the truck is rust free. It's worth at least 10k+. I've been a mechanic for 20+ yrs in the rust belt. I can fix about anything mechanical but there is no fixing a rusty vehicle. I don't care how much you cut and weld. It's still rusty. It makes everything harder to work on. I own all southern rust free vehicles but 1. My winter beater. I work on my own vehicles and it's like a dream compared to what I have to work on at work. You might get @20 mpg from a new truck.
