Tail light bulb problem
Has anyone had a problem with the glass of their tail bulb turning colors, it looks like the glass was being burned. It has happened several times now so I have to replace my passenger tail light bulb much more than I should have to. The bulb was on my truck for about a year. I am planning on getting LED tail lights, so since I'm sure its an electrical issue could this mess up the LED tail light.

LEDs themselves light at 1.5 volts, and depending on the number and configuration of the LED "assembly " (number of LEDs, series or parallel, etc) there are resistors that limit input voltage to around 12 volts. They draw much less current than those bulbs you're blown. I've had discolored bulbs like yours- primarily from stop (no go) traffic in Atlanta. I'd guess normal heat from the bulb filament does it over time.

I'd be more concerned of there were more symptoms. Take for example, my 3rd brake light harness. I was replacing bulbs 15-20 minutes later, and the harness was melting on the bulbs. With it being just that... I wouldn't be conerned. I've seen it onother cars before also.
