Susp lift under Body lift? in MA LAWS
How many people from MA or not from MA, think I'll get hassled if I had 8" of lift with 37s? This'd be a 3" body + a 5" susp... The law around here is a 4x4s height can't be altered more than 4" but I have 2 buddies that have 8" susp lifts runnin 38s on their F-250s... Basically the law has some #s to work with, Wheel base x Wheel track / a "saftey #" of 2200... So approximatly 138.5 x 66 / 2200 = 4.15 (meas. I took a while back, don't remember if they're exact)... So by law I can lift my truck 4" any more I can get turned away at inspection or ticketed, So I went cheap and did a BL and torsion crank... Well now that I've lifted my truck I'm noticing all these other trucks with 6 and 8" lifts! and they have stickers!! I want to drain my wallet too!! Wheels, tires, lift, gears etc.... . ... . .

an 8 inch with 37?! dang that is going to look a lot different than stock. I guess it just depends on whether or not the cops in your area have real trouble makers to deal with.

Rich... I like the Firestones, They look sweet and they hook up in the snow... the only thing about em is they follow the tracks in the snow, So far... first snow was 8" of wet packed crap and I'm sure any tire would do that so it felt like s**t bumpin back and forth in the tracks... I drove up the road took my hands off the wheel and it was like i was on a Disney ride Haha... but they do get darn good traction, So far...
Big Red... Uh Oh the cops around here have nothing to do!! Haha I know all of em except for the Rooks that have something to prove...
