supercharged 5.4
Hello, I'm looking at slapping a lightning super charger on my factory 5.4. I know the factory bottom end wont hold the 13 psi so ill need new pulleys since im only looking to run 8 psi max. My parts list includes:
Supercharger
42lb injectors
2.93 upper pulley
7.5" lower pulley
tunes
belt
lightning cai
Am missing anything? if so what am i missing?

As far as I know lightnings never made 13si from the factory. There are couple guys around here that have done/doing/gathering parts for a lightning swap. Most run a factory upper with a 6# lower and have no issues. Its all in the tuning.

Then if thats the case I would such JJ from Woodbine for email tunes. If your only looking for to run 8# I would stick with a factory lightning setup. You should be fine with that.

The f150 lightnings run 8 pounds of boost from the factory. I believe the Harley's run 6 pounds from the factory via smaller upper pulley. I would opt for the Harley pulley if you don't want to push things too much.

I've seen videos of guys with completely stock lightning pushing like 13 psi and a smaller upper pulley should make more psi. And I've heard that the factory fuel system is good for 15psi out of a ported blower

A stock N/A block in good shape can handle 12-13#, I ran a stock upper pullers and 4# lower on my last truck for a total of 12#. And I was turning heavy *** 38" M/Ts. It's all on how you drive it.
You need more than a blower tune and pulley. Let me see if I can come up with a list off the top of my head.
The fuel lines and rails are fine, just need to change the injectors and pumps. The stock lines have made right at 700rwhp pushing them to the absolute max!
AirBox
Air Filter
90MM MAF
Intake Elbow
Throttle Body
Throttle & Cruise Control Cable Bracket
Throttle Cable
Cruise Control Cable
Plenum
Blower
Midplate
Intercooler
Lower Manifold with IAT2 Sensor
Intercooler Pump with Bracket
Heat Exchanger with Brackets
42#
255LPH Fuel Pump
Lower Pulley
Alternator
Alternator Bracket
WaterPump(Unless you have EFans, if you do your stock water pump is better)
170* TStat
ValveBody in the tranny
SCT Tune from JJ @ Woodbine Motorsports
Oil Seperator
Misc hoses for Intercooler and Vacuum Lines
Misc gaskets
That's what I can think of from the top of my heads.
All 99-04 L's made 8# stock
All 02-03 Harleys made 6# stock
All 99-00 L's had 80MM MAF
All 01-04 L's & 02-03 HDs had 90MM MAF
All 99-00 L's had prone to leaking 9 row intercoolers, the blower bolt pattern was also different than the 01-04s
All 01-04 L's & 02-03 HDs had 10 row intercoolers, the blower bolt pattern was also different than the 99-00s
