I think everyone gets taken at least once in their lives. Many, Many years ago I was desperate for a vehicle and found a great "deal" on ebay. Rolled the dice and took the chance. The photos were of a beautifully detailed Isuzu Amigo, and what I got was a rust bucket from Cleveland, OH. I had to replace the entire exhaust and never could cure the leaky exhaust manifold. I did what I could with it and it got me through a desperate time and was able to sell it to the next guy for pretty close what I paid for it, but I was totally up front about the problems, and he didn't seem to mind. Definitely learned my lesson.

I've bought several vehicles, including my current F150 and have found it to be a good experience. It's not craigslist but the sellers on craigslist. I always take my CCW with me as well cause you never know what wackjob you'll run into out there on craigslist. LOL.

Did you say you paid $2400 for it? The fact that it goes vroom vroom is impressive. Here for that you get a truck with a blown motor or destroyed trans

I'm sorry to hear this happened to you.

I recently bought a 1999 F-150 off of Craigslist (I spent way more than you did). The guy that sold it to me didn't point out that it had been broken into at one point and both lock cylinders had been punched through. He made sure to open the doors for me when I was looking at it, and now I know why. While it doesn't compare to the severity of your situation, it still hurts (about $300 in parts alone to fix) and it sucks to get deceived and burned. You just have to live and learn...

I hope I don't come across anymore surprises like you have.

Best of luck.

Took you long enough tackle and it was very well camouflaged if we had not taken gas tank down we would have never known but it runs like a top and ride smooth except for the exhaust manifold
