Default Stuttering, can anyone help?

I have an '03 F-150 FX4 with a 5.4 Triton in it. I drove through some water the other day, deep enough to cover the running boards. Since then it has been stuttering real bad, with the worst of it between 1,000 and 2,000 RPMs. Any ideas?

Did you get any Check Engine Light when that began? If you did-or even if you didn't- check to see if there are any trouble codes stored. If you don't have a scanner I believe Auto Zone will do it for you for free. I had simillar issues after going through high water, my problem was a wet spark plg wire. Dried it our and cleaned the plug and was good to go.
Another way to check for a misfiring cylinder is if you or a friend has an IR temp sensor, the colder cylinder is the one not firing.
Hope it helps...

I had the check engine light but it pissed me off so I disconnected the batt. and it reset. It doesn't feel like a cylinder missing, it's more of a variable stutter instead of a constant thing. Thanks for the heads up though. Any other suggestions out there?
