Ooh ya just ditch the muffler and replace it with pipe I tab that set up and it sounded real good

No none of my 3 f150s had mufflers and they ran fine

I have removed my factory muffler on 3 of my 99-03 f150s and added a piece of strait pipe and usually a 3.5" tip and it always sounds excellent!

Will not do anything to your engine. I found I always gain a little bit of fuel economy.

For the cost I think it's the best sounding setup on these trucks .
