Your still within programed parameters ...margins, so you WILL NOT get a CEL IF your connections are tight. Never use eliminators as they will screw up the switch....unfortunately, that's the wrong way as well

Anything other than that is either just wrong or your going to spend uneeded cash to get what you want.
Sorry if i sound dumb, but what exactly do you mean by "connections are tight"? I talked to a guy at a ford dealership (said it was for a offroad vehicle) and he was saying i'd need a whole new pipe, etc etc. Thanks

There's a heat difference yes, but that's not what you were saying. Yea, I don't like disagreeing w/folks, as they get the wrong idea...almost always. Perhaps it was a emissions explaining another type system. It wasn't in reference to these set-ups or Ford for that matter...not that I know of anyway. Perhaps you misheard or misunderstood. Hey iduno, it happens.

Search it out and confirm if you want, any of yuh. But yes, that's the facts with this gen set up.

It works with original upstream converts or new upstream converters. Since the new ones are made differently now a days (made cheaper w/less precious metals), - it's worth mentioning.

Right on, appreciate the insight.

Yea that can happen when either your up-streams are about toast or you have a leak.

Your still within parameters running off just the up-streams, but you are pushed to one side of the margin vs the medium. So, if anything isn't quite right, you will get a CEL, but only for those reasons mentioned above.

The percentage of not getting a CEL from this mod is about 90% IME with others in the past. The most difficult and/or critical part of this one is getting the connections as leak free as possible. I've witnessed that problem in the past, but haven't seen or heard of anyone experiencing a bad up-stream cat as the cause...not yet anyway. It's possible tho, that's why I mentioned it.
