Steering Issues.
I have an 01 F150 sport 4x4. I'm noticing that I'm getting some play in the steering, and it seems to be all over the road. Ive read a little aboutadjustments to the steering box, or just replacing it. I just had to put new tie rod ends and ball joints in the front end. I'm pretty sure I also had pitman/idler arms replaced. It just feels like when i drive it, its really all over the place and I cant drive it in a straight line. I thought it was just me at first, but anything else I drive is fine. It really seems like theres play in the wheel and as soon as I turn it so far, it grabs. Bottom line is that it is extremely annoying and I'd like to have it fixed asap, any ideas?

I seem to have the same problem, only mine started after replacing my power steering pump. I was told its in my steering box and it has to be calibrated to the new pump. More pressure means more sensitivity. I am still looking into how to adjust the steering box as soon as I find out I'll let you know.

Im having steering issues as well with my new to me 93 f150 4x4. It has WAY to much play even for a 90's ford. It clunks either way over center im thinking there is either to much play in the box and its jumping a gear or theres a bad u joint somewhere along the way...dont know anything about ford engineering so sorry if i sound dumb but i'd also like to know what thoughts are on this thread.
