Default Fuel Mileage Help Please

I have a 2002 Ford F150 Lariat FX4 with 35 nittos. I need some opinions on what to do to get better fuel mileage.

Put smaller tires on, regear it, custom tune or get a small car that gets good gas mileage and park you're truck.

I was looking for people that have experience with air intakes and programmers. Trying to find which ones work best. Also would a new exhaust help and what would be best.

Well said.

mmoore5187, gotts mod is the best/cheapest intake for our trucks but will not increase gas mileage what so ever...no intake will. A programmer is hit or miss as far as increasing mileage, mine helped maybe .2-.5 mpg, not a lot. The best ways to increase it were stated above by SJP. I'll add that your foot can also make a difference. Exhaust may help if you get an entire setup including headers. Replacing the muffler will not do anything for mileage.

Most popular programmers for our trucks:

SCT
Edge
Diablo
Superchips

You need to have realistic expectations as far as MPG go. You're driving a full size truck with larger than stock tires. I have the same make/year/model as you and get 10-12 mpg, 95% city driving with 265/70/17's.
