Daystar 1.5" leveling kit
Okay so these things are pretty cheap, so for 40 bucks I was thinking hey why not, but as I reading reviews it seemed like a pretty mixed bag. Some people say its not even close to worth it because you will need an alignment, and even the it rides like trash, but then some people said they didnt even need to get it aligned and it was the easiest thing ever.
have any of you guys had experience with the 1.5 inch daystar leveling kit? If so how much did it end up costing your once it was all said and done.
Also I was wondering if just go with bigger springs in the front will I need to get longer control arms? I have been reading that the highest I can go is 1.5 inches in the front without needing new control arms.
Here is the link to what I was looking at: http://www.jcwhitney.com/FRONT_LIFT_...;0;2005822;0;0

actually...the highest you can go is 2.5". just today I put in 2in lift springs from rough country (and 3.5" lift spindles from doetsch). cost me 150 for just the springs. but I removed my stock springs and a "2" " spacer. the spacer is Al and worked good. still looks as good as it did when I put it in. Ill sell it to ya. and most likely whenever you do any front end work youll need an alignment. oh also with daystar...since theyre pretty much plastic/rubber, Ive heard they tend to sag over time....does metal (the strong stuff)? no.

mine were a pretty penny (like 60+ some shipping cuz theyre heavy). theyre not too hard. they go under the coil. plain and simple. the steps....remove tire, remove disk and caliper (keep them together its easier), I found it easier to undo the spindle to the LCA could drop real far and its easier to get em in. take out shock. throw in the spacer. theres a special way it goes in. but its self explainatory cuz it goes with the curve of the spring. and then put everything back together.

I know a couple shops that will charge about 60-80 bucks. but yet a good alignment should be good for a while. unless you do some serious off-roading to where it will get knocked out quicker.
