Default Is something wrong if....

So I checked my oil the other day and to my suprise it was about 1/4 quart low from the max fill line. Its always stayed at max full since ive had it so I was kinda suprised. I didnt think much of it for the next week and went to check it again and now its abouth 1/2 quart low from the max fill line. tomorrow im going to get a quart and fill it back up. but im wondering why all of the sudden it would start loosing oil...

Time for a oil change? As oil gets old it will break down and burn a little....

^^My thoughts exactly. Old oil burns faster as it breaks down. My truck burns on average 1/4 quart by the end of a oil change interval of 4k. Pretty normal if you ask me, for a rig with 130k on it. Start by simply changing it.
