I have one.

My only complaint is the metra mounting kit. The trim plate that goes around the outside of the face didn't fit very well. Snapped it trying to "finesse" it into place lol. That explains the gap around the outside of the face. Doesn't bother me at all.

Pardon the finger prints. This was just after install.

Had to trim the top of the opening behind the radio bezel to get it to fit. A wiring kit should get everything hooked up for ya.

I agree with above. Trimmed the top, and the outer plate. I put in a pioneer avh x3500bhs, but it should be the same size. I also recommend the parking brake bypass relay. It's pretty easy, and cheap to do.

How did you get the picture on yours. I have the older version but it does have a picture viewing thing but never figured it out.

Don't mean to Hi-Jack the thread but is the digital interior temp and fan controls from the navs a direct plug n play for our trucks?

No its not. You need the entire dash harness along with certain parts from the HVAC box. Some trucks came with them from the factory.

haha thats exactly the unit i have, same bezel, and mines also a KR...

I i remember right, the one which worked best was actually for another ford vehicle of a close year, maybe a explorer or later year expedition. I do remember the metra bezel was absolute junk

No matter what kit you get, there will be trimming involved, and it can get a bit tricky. I would look into getting a harness adapter, and that's really all you need unless you want to go with a backup cam. Here's what your getting into, you'll see where i took portions out of the top, as well as inside the cubby.
