Default Smoke/steam after replacing manifolds?

Just replaced both manifolds on my 2003 ford f150 5.4 and now I am getting a steam/stone coming from both manifolds. I did use pb blaster, wd-40 and deep creep on both sides, is the smoke/steam bust the penetrating fluid burning off? Or something else?

Don't be surprised if it smells like a bonfire for a few weeks in the cab as well as the manifolds break in.

Really? I searched but couldn't find anyone else who had this problem after replacing them, maybe they just knew it was the oil

Yup. You know they coat those parts in a little oil to keep them from rusting on the shelf. I replaced a manifold a couple months ago. It smoked a little for the first few times it got hot.
