Sliding rear window leak
Hey,
I bought a 1998 F-150 STX a few months ago. Just ran it through the car wash few days ago for the first time. I noticed a pretty good water leak coming from the headliner from what looks to be the rear window seam. I siliconed the seam where the glass meets the body and around the high stop light with black RTV silicone. Gave it over 24 hours to dry in 90+* heat. It still leaks. Could it be leaking where each individual glass piece glues to the window frame? The seams are up high enough if they were leaking to make the top wet inside and the headliner. Any insights or suggestions would be great.
Thanks,

Mine DID but no more leak
First i removed the window.(about 20 minutes) resealed all the glass and made sure the black mastic filled completely around all the screw holes so that they would be sealed when under pressure from tightening the bolts back down.
CAUTION...some of the holes you see in the bottom are there to let water out. Fill these and you will have rust problems in no time because the water can not escape. Over all it took one hour and its better than it ever was.

Where are these bolts you are talking about? How do I get to them? This is my first nice truck so I want to make it look as decent as possible. Also this is a standard cab truck, sorry for any confusion. I will probably just silicone around the window glass itself

Well being I am broke and only semi-skilled with body work. More of the mechanic type. I spent $10 and siliconed around the window to frame gap. I also went around the frame to cab gap again. It's a little ugly. The truck is black so that helps. I also siliconed around the high stop light and down around the sliding window. Hopefully it works. Will let everyone know tomorrow. Kinda pissed cuz this is my first nice truck. only has 97,000 on it but I have to realize it's also 12 years old. That's alot of sun damage.
