slave cylinder
hi folks, I have a problem you all might be able to help with. the slave cylinder for the clutch went out in my 2004 f150 heritage 4.2L. I know I'm a year off for this forum but the heritage is more like an '03. It is at the shop right now and I already know I may as well replace what I can inside the bell housing. I have a clutch kit, flywheel and the slave cylinder w/ throw out bearing assembly ordered. pricing parts I saw a huge price range for the slave cylinder $65-$289 and I saw some parts that were described as self adjusting and aftermarket conventional. What is the difference in the slave cylinders to make such a wide range in prices? and what's up with aftermarket conventional vs self adjusting? I've never had so many options for parts before with other cars.
thanks,
scott
