If the road was a bit more slippery, either from the paint for road lines. or build up from oils n such leaking from cars onto the road over time. It may have been slicker then the grass was. Just something to think about

Might want to do some research. My 02 has a 25 gal. tank. Maybe your tank is bigger than you think.

wouldnt it still come on when its in the red? no matter what size tank.

the PSD's light comes on right before it gets down to the red

Depends on if your needle is set right. Your float might be off, many possiblities. I would carry a 2 gal gas tank around and see how low you can take it. One possiblity, is that your float isn't making contact with the sensor to turn the light on? Not sure thou.

What is PSD?

Mine comes on around 21 gallons. Supercabs have 24.5 gallon tank. So I usually end up driving with the light on for a little while and when I fill up it takes 21.5 or 22gallons most of the time.

just keep gas in it, I never let mine get under 1/4th tank.. when it gets real low it starts sucking up the gunk that collects at the bottom of the gas tank and it's not good for the engine... or so says my old drivers ed teacher
