I'm about to regear mine to 4.56s which would be close to what 4.10s would have been on stock tires.
Mine came with the 3.73's, guess it was special ordered by having factory 3.73's? Not sure if someone updated chunks or what. But it does not want to turn even on bravel when in 4x4.

3.73 was an option, it just cost more with most packages I believe. I think 3.73 was only a standard option on the FX4 and 7700.

Wish it was cold enough for snow here today. High of 105 and heat index was 121. Not fun when your bush-hogging on a tractor without a cab.

there was an option for 4.10s from factory, I remember seeing it listed under the axle codes.

axle codes B5 & X27 are both 4.10 gears optioned from factory.

B5 is 4.10LS (Limited Slip)

X27 is 4.10 Open diff.

I've never actually seen one with factory 4.10s.. was it a 7700 option?

Same here, it's either very rare or only a 7700 or 250ld option

Mines a 1999 model. So it would not have been with the FX4.
