Do you have emissions testing in VA? If dodos replacing the 4 cats w/ the 2 high flow ones mess up the emissions at all? I really want to do it to my truck but I can't afford to mess up stupid emissions testing which is just a waste of my time and my money.
We kinda do, I Actually just got inspected today. It's just a visual inspection, there is no sniffer they put in the pipe. I have a rear cat delete and they didn't say anything. Some trucks will throw a CEL and some won't, as long as you are just deleting the rear and there is no leaks you shouldn't get a CEL. I know some shops here will scan the vehicle when they inspect it so if it throws a code they might get you there. I have my rear o2s deleted in my tune so there is no CEL so if you have custom tunes that's an option.

No emissions testing in VA. Legally have to have cats and a muffler that's it. But I know plenty of people who just run pipes and still get passed

The high flow cats made a world of difference for my exhaust. Much louder and much nastier tone. I think it helped smoothen out my shift points a little also. No regrets here. They're a little pricey but worth it in my opinion

So cut out all 4 stock ones and just got 2 high flows? I have been thinking about cutting out my 2 front cats too and just going cat less or with dummy cats and my magnaflow

You may be able to just cut the rear cats off it all depends on where the o2 sensor is. If you have one after your rear then you will need a fake o2 sensor or a tune to get rid of the cel. Do not cut the cats off these 5.4 and the 4.6 rely on the back pressure made by them and you can damage your engine that way. Deleting the rear cats will only marginally increase your exhaust sound because the front cats are the most restrictive. The rear two act more like resonators than cats

On my old truck the cats are gone. It does have the sensors in the pipes both sides but that's it. I hope when its running next week, it does not cause any issues. But the truck has ran that way for years. So should not be an issue now.

If it works for you then go for it. I'm just afraid because there are so many computerized emissions controls you could confuse that it would invite future engine trouble

Yeah my rears are already gone along with the rear o2 sensors. I got the sensors turned off in my tune

I will be fine with doing it as long as I don't get a check engine light or throw a code. Emissions in MD is just them plugging into my computer and running a diagnostic test which just means they are checking for codes out of whack. It's so dumb cuz if you have a check engine light on you fail even if it has nothing to do with the emissions. Just as long as I keep the o2 sensor in place I should be fine right?
