Ram makes half ton diesels now, ford and chev used to make diesel conpacts. So if you don't know much about 10th gens, it's not exactly implausible haha.

I thought I seen a Youtube video of someone putting a Cummins in one of these trucks lol, I'll have to try and find that video again.

EDIT: This one:

There's a couple with 4bts. I saw a tenth gen the other day leaving the parking lot at home depot and there was black smoke coming from the tailpipe and it sounded just like a 6.0

4bt in a Jeep or Ranger? Sure. 4bt in a 1/2 ton or bigger? Not in a million years. You loose all the benefits of the 4bt once you have to start dropping real coin in order to make more Hp and the Tq numbers you need for a Daily driver.

well what if you want the benefits of diesel but want to upgrade the motor at the same time?

lmao I feel like if I threw a 4bt in my jeep I would eventually upgrade the turbo and turn up the fuel on it. I wouldn't want to go to the point that it risks hurting reliability or longevity of the motor, but enough for you to know its not plain stock.

Apparently you can fit a 6bt in a 10th gen. I would do that or a 6.0 if I were to do a diesel swap

You lost me on that last one. Are you saying I don't ? Ford has been using diesel power plants in the F series for decades. I'd say your quite lost son. Dewey has an F250, it's who I was talking in the first place. LD or not, it was a comment about the diesel power plants in the other F series.

I agreed with your first comment, you seemed to understand were others did not. But this post, yea, it's out there, you haven't a clue.

So what ever your attempting to establish.....good luck.

I still have no idea what you guys are trying to do or say...don't get it. Guess there's been stranger things.

This may be in reference to the fact that the 10th generation trucks initially came in 1/2 and 3/4 ton variants. The F150 and F250 were offered in that body style before the 1998 Super Duty trucks first came out. Therefore, it's possible to get a diesel truck in the 10th generation F150 body style, albeit only in 1997.
