I do a lot of researching on most things I buy lol. There's absolutely no reason why adapters would be dangerous on stock rims and not aftermarket rims. Tell me a good reason since you say their is one lol. Black on white has had em for 2 years and I've had em for about 8 months with absolutely no issues.
The factory wheels are designed pretty strongly and often rated higher than a lot of aftermarket wheels.
Looking at this 18x9 XD wheel in front, it seems no where near as well built as my factory FX4 units
bora hub centric. I'm running adapters for the last 2 years without issues. Had a direct tire hit only damage was a bent upper control arm, happened right before i replaced everything with moog. Theres so much **** floating around from people who know a guy who knows a guy who used the wrong lug nuts or didn't go back and re torque and they failed. You'll be fine with quality adapters.
