Not super close up but that's as good as I have right now. The line x guy said that they sprayed it more thin than usual so there isn't a ton of texture, but he said something about it working better for a flexible plastic part. Looks great still and I haven't even scrubbed it yet in 6 months. Just spray it off at the coin wash

I'm debating on ptm or line x. I want my wiper cowl, back glass surround and bed rails done too so I'll probably just ptm it all. May still line x the valance

Nope. They're a different type bulb and have different light patterns. When you put an HID bulb in a reflector bowl/halogen housing the light is unable to be focused properly. A retrofit is the only way to go. It uses a true HID projector that uses smooth, focused light that won't scatter and blind others. Here's and article about it, and my truck with a retrofit for teh lulz.

Because the beam pattern of HIDs is completely different and is unfocused, and needs to be in a projector housing to be focused, so if you put it in a reflector type housing it'll just shine all over the place with no actual beam of light being projected in front of your truck. So basically saying that you'll have a bunch of light thrown out right in front of your truck that causes glare but none of it will be put down the road where you really need it to be. They actually shine less distance than halogens do when in these headlights, they just look brighter when they really aren't.

Well maybe I won't do HiDs then. No offense to anyone on here with retrofits but I think it makes the truck look like it had bug eyes and I'm not a big fan. I'm sure the lighting is awesome. Going with an LED light bar behind the grill. Love the way the ford emblem looks sitting in the middle of the bar on bryan95's truck
