Guess I'm doing good with 12-13 on 37's. Got almost 15 with mostly hwy miles on a 400 mile round trip last weekend. Edit:: that was cruising at a leisurely 60 mph also. No hurries no worries & lots of scenic back roads.
Yes sir your doing dam good...do you have the 5.4?
I'm not a hunter, I'm a natural born deer killer
What did you do to yours cuz I need ideas...I'm alrdy looking into lower gears which people talked about on here...I need horsepower more than anything without compromising my mpg of gas
My lead foot finally trimmed a few pounds when I turned 18. My gears 3.55 stock, k&n air filter, GOTTS mod, aftermarket exhaust( I run a dynomax bullet, its straight through), basic upkeep, wix oil and fuel filter. I'm going to swap the fan for electric and I figured out how to bypass the rear o2's on the rear two cats so I'll probly knock those out soon. The way I've heard it, more hp = more mpg because to motor doesn't work as hard. My gains are essentially from clearing up/smoothing the trucks airflow basically. depending on which motor and gear and stuff you currently have the butt dyno will feel a difference. haha
I get 12-12.5 constantly, I don't know what my type of drive would be considered, my drive to work typically backroads going 50 for about 10 minutes is the extent of my work commute. I have gotten 15 before on the highway, cruise control set at 60.
