Here's my '97 F150 4x4, 4.6 with a 5 spd stick. I turned the torsion screws up to the allowed 24.25", nothing in the back - but might raise that up another 2 inches with blocks. Right torsion screw was turned up higher than the left to maintain the 24.25" measurement on that side, no issues with the alignment afterward. I understand this is pretty normal. 17x9 Rockstars with -12 offset/4.5" back spacing. Picked up a really used set of BFG 315x70x17s ($100 for all 4) and found that they fit great - no cutting or trimming needed. Tonneau cover and step bars off Ebay. Home fabbed grill mod. Typical midwest rocker rust, did some fab work on the Nerf bars to the frame and now they are even more solid than before. Might put a brush guard on it and I think that's about it.

Definitely wouldn't say that at all. One piece projectors and pretty much anything with LED rings or strips will burn out pretty fast after some weather. Lightning or Harley lights are the best looking and performing lights available for these trucks.

If you drive highway often, keep the bug shield or it will end up like my wife's Tahoe with chips all over the hood. Evidently no one else on here likes the practicality of a bug shield. I have it more for stones than bugs and have a lot less chips!! Since I got mine lifted I could probably get away with it.
I would decide if you want chrome or black so either go chrome wheels and bull bar or get black steps. The problem with black is it starts to rust so fast and I'm a chrome guy cuz like the shine that stands out on those bright sunny days but all my buddy's are black accents now and it looks good to

I had mine for over two years and working just fine...of course when a lady hit me in passenger front end, I made sure her insurance paid for the $320 spiders...look just like the cheaper ones I had but much brighter and I really like the blue strip across the bottom...and I don't want to have the same heads as everyone else

I definitely agree with Browning on this one. I ran the one piece projectors on my old 97 for a while and they absolutely sucked. They didn't even fit in the grille right, which in turn, made it where I couldn't even use the high beams. Not to mention their light output was just terrible in the first place from my experience. I couldn't adjust them and they were just a waste of money in my case. I woke up eventually, saw the light and bought a set of clear lightning headlights. Then a miracle happened, I could see at night again! haha
