What do you do? We have a lot of plants down here and everyone involved makes a ton of cash.

I work in the IT field for the DoD. I want a small self sustaining farm for my family and for hunting, fishing, 4x4, etc. We've been looking at property here but it's really expensive. The last place we were looking at was 120ish acres for $500k. Luckily it's a few of us going in on it together. My parents then myself and my wife. Possibly my two brothers as well.

There was a place down here awhile back,it was 89 acres of great hunting land,it had an area cleared for a house and the corner of the property was a few acres of swamp land which produces big deer and giant hogs,$121,000 was the list price. Plus our deer season is August 15th-Jan 1st,one of the longest seasons I know of. You can go on www.landwatch.com to look for property.

Thanks for the info! I've been on landwatch before but it's been a while. I'll have to jump back on there and see what's new.

The view from my desk. I gotta park the farthest away so it'll fit. Parking spots are so small in Charlotte. I need a car
