Well I found out my truck doesn't have coil packs... I never really looked... My truck was made Dec/99... I assume I got stuck with the old setup...
Oh I fixed my cyl 8 misfire! Spark wire came loose... lol.

I was having a cylinder 8 misfire...
Me and my dad had to fix my cousins expedition... It was throwing the same code... Had a bad coil pack... So I went and bought a coil pack. Popped my hood and found this... ( not sure what this set-up is called..)
I have plug wires not coil packs...
All the wire lead back to this.. again not sure what its called lol. Just know how to fix it.....

You mean ignition coils no? Personally I rather not have the ignition coils since they're about $60 a piece.

So this is an ignition coil...? and my truck has a ignition coil pack? If you could explain it better I'd appreciate it.
This is the set-up on my mom's 01 expeditions 4.6L...

Basically the ignition coil pack which you have is a group of ignition coils attached together that create the spark and send it to each cylinder. The individual system that they switched to has separate ignition coils for each cylinder. They did this that way if one of the ignition coils goes bad you don't have to buy an entire new ignition coil pack. Hope that makes sense haha so it's actually cheaper not having the ignition coil pack because from what I hear they're not cheap.
