Why didn't you just replace the lock so it looks factory? That's what I did on my old one I sold

Because the bar that went across between the two latches is broke and both of the latches have one of the tabs missing that locks down on the lid. Got a problem with people breaking into stuff where I live. Only way their getting in there is if they got a grinder haha
