Default Shift indicator

I have a 2001 Ford Supercrew and the automatic shift indicator has moved and isnt indicating the right shift position any more. For example, when it is in drive the indicator is on 2nd. Has anyone experienced this? Does anyone know how difficult it is to re-align?
Thanks

Default Shift Indicator

It just so happens I was talking to someone the other day about a similar event. For him, it turned out to a broken motor mount.

Pull the covers off of the steering column. There should be a small wire running to a clip wrapped on the column. If you pull the clip off you should be able to move the indicator. If so then just re-install it in the correct position.
