Default Seat belt buckles

2003 f150 screw.

My front driver/center seat belt buckles are broke. Won't lock even once. I'm currently stretching the belt all the way to the pass buckle to buckle up ha.

Where can I buy just the buckle? I've had a horrid time trying to find just the buckle. I think I saw some directly from Ford, but they wanted about $150. Screw that.

Which other ones will work with mine?

Is there anything electronic in them that controls the tattle-tale warning from beeping?

Anybody have extras I can buy?

e-bay or a junk yard. Just get the model # off the old one and search for that.

Unfortunately I've already done that. Went to a few junkyards here in town. There were only about 3 trucks total that matched...and they were all broke too.

EBay has a million extensions...but not the dang buckle. Which I'm thinking about buying and Jimmy rigging with some ubolts or something through the chair frame. Then I'd just have to figure how to kill the damn warning light that tells me to buckleup

Did you check Expeditions ('97-02 are identical).

Take look on craigslist for parting out vehicles (F150 and Expeditions). Not sure where you are at, but lots around me.

Also look at this thread and see if he still has his.

I glanced in a few expeditions but they didn't seem to match...could have been wrong years though. I'll check more thoroughly next time now that I know.

There is a sequence of key turns you can do to turn off the seat belt warning chime. I'll see if I can find the post for you. I was having the same problem and sprayed it with wd-40 and it worked for a few weeks... Sprayed it again and haven't had a problem since (thank goodness lol)

Edit* here is the link. Follow option 2 to permanently turn it off http://www.fordf150.net/howto/beltminder.php

I have it off so I can listen to music with the doors open. There is no way that I've found to disable the door chime on acc so I have to have the key turned forward and that makes the seatbelt chime. I use my truck for music a lot so it got annoying real fast. Also I don't condone driving without a seatbelt so follow these steps at your own risk
