Default Rusted Strut tower

Hi all my first post. I have a 97 f150 with the long wheelbase and My rear strut has rusted and seperated from the frame. Has anyone else had this problem is it worth fixing and how much did it cost to fix/ what work is entailed to fix.
Thanks for the Help
Dave

Worth fixing depends on your mileage and overall condition of your truck. No, I have not had the same problem others may, but how many miles are on the truck or how attached to the truck are you? Tell us something along those lines and we might be better able to help you.

It has 180000 mi and has been my home in the summer months, I had a cap and slept in the back while rafting and kayaking. I'm pretty attached to this truck. It has given me no problems beside tie rods and rust, nothing mechanical has ever gone wrong with this engine except vacuum leaks. I had plans to have the engine rebuilt at 200000, but I don't have alot of money to drop right now.
Thanks
