RIP My 1997 f150
Here was my ford, It had 180,000 miles on it in the pictures. I put 50,000 miles on it in two years. I am a college student and commuted with it. It was stock no mods, no major fixes done on it, It was a one owner truck before me, my father bought it with 70,000 miles on it from an old man. The only problem is that a had wheel bearings go out every 3,000 miles on every 3 months. Had 5.4 2 wheel drive I could out run just about anything. It would hang to a curve better than most cars. One day I was going to work and a ranger pulled out in front of me, i was going 55mph and had about 10-20 foot skid. My neck and back was fine however the floorboard bent my left ankle to the parking brake and I had to have knee surgery. The thing that hurts the most is not having the truck anymore. My dad pasted it to me and I wanted to pass it to my child. However that won't happen. I loved this truck, most people would not believe a man could love a truck but i do. I have felt it and it sucked to lose it. The man in the ranger was 80 years old and he was fine, cut the back of his head open but not bad. He was no wearing his seat belt

I totaled 2 Rangers (only one my fault). The last one was a real tear jerker I got it from my sister who bought it new in 98. I did every oil change in that truck.

i think just about everybody here has the same feeling towards their trucks. i know i do. mine was my uncles and he died in 2007 at 43 years old. my truck has a lot of sentimental value to me so i can sympathize with you. the main thing is that nobody was killed but it still hurts to lose the truck
