Default Rim Options for 03 F150 XLT

I am going to have to replace my tires coming up soon, which means I may as well look at new rim options while I am at it.

What is the maximum size I can fit on a stock 2003 F150 XLT 5.4 V8 2wd? Also what about tire size? I know that it will vary based on the size of the tire going on it. A larger rim with a low profile tire, smaller rim the larger the tire.

I know my truck is the special 7-lug version, so that will make things more difficult and pricey when it comes to picking out the actual rim. I have seen some people talk about needing to trim a little in order to fit a larger rim. What kind of trimming are we talking about? Just the wheel well? Or more than that?

Ok one off what engine do you have? Are you 2wd or 4wd? You will probably be better off getting blank wheels and having them drilled to match your 7 lug setup.

What else do you need to know beside 5.4L V8? Never had someone ask me for more detail than that.

I'm 2WD, I meant to include that in my original. Sorry 'bout that folks!

If you have a 5.0 you have a custom 03. We had 4.6s and 5 4s. I was just throwing that out there before someone tried really getting after you.

What look are you going for bud? Street truck, leveled, lifted, or as is with some better shoes?

Gee, I knew I was tired, but I didn't know I was THAT TIRED!!! It is a 5.4. I'll edit the original post too. Just something with better shoes. Is there any advantages to leveled other than looks?

If it were me me and I had a 2wd I would do a 2" rear drop shackle to level it out rather than raising the front. Then I would look into an 18x9 wheel with a semi meaty tire rather than going low profile.

Well tell me this. is it long bed or short?

You need to play around on here. It wont give you seven lug options but it will give you some sort of idea and you can adjust the ride height too.http://www.merchantstire.com/tires/c...visualizerpage
