Replacing starter
Hi all.....I am new to this forum, but not new to them or the common practices. I am only getting on for the sake of helping a friend of my wifes. I searched the how-to section for a starter thread but couldn't find one. It would be greatly appreciated if someone could give me some insight on how to change one out on a 01 model.....or at least a link to the thread if I missed it.

Removal
WARNING: When carrying out maintenance on the starting system, be aware that heavy gauge leads are connected directly to the battery. Make sure protective caps are in place when maintenance is complete. Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury.
Disconnect the battery ground cable (14301).
WARNING: The electrical power to the air suspension system must be shut off prior to hoisting, jacking or towing an air suspension vehicle. This can be accomplished by turning off the air suspension switch located in the RH kick panel area. Failure to do so may result in unexpected inflation or deflation of the air springs which may result in shifting of the vehicle during these operations.
Raise and support the vehicle; refer to Section 100-02 .
Remove the starter motor solenoid terminal cover (11N087).
NOTE: The 4.2L engine is shown; the 4.6L and 5.4L engine, are similar.
Disconnect the starter motor electrical connections.
Remove the two nuts.
Remove the battery cable.
Remove the starter solenoid wire.
NOTE: The 4.2L engine is shown; the 4.6L and 5.4L engine, are similar.
Remove the nut and the starter motor ground cable.
NOTE: 4.2L engine-equipped vehicles only.
Remove the starter.
Remove the bolt and stud bolt.
Remove the starter.
NOTE: 4.6L and 5.4L engine-equipped vehicles only.
Remove the stud bolt, bolts and the starter.
Installation

Install the starter motor.
Position the starter motor.
Install the bolt and stud bolt.
NOTE: 4.6L engine-equipped vehicles only.
Replace starter motor and three bolts.
NOTE: The 4.2L engine is shown; the 4.6L and 5.4L engine, are similar.
Connect the cable and install the motor nut.
NOTE: The 4.2L engine is shown; the 4.6L and 5.4L engine, are similar.
Connect the starter motor electrical connections.
Position the starter solenoid wire.
Position the battery cable.
Install the nuts.
Install the starter motor solenoid terminal cover.
Connect the battery ground cable.
NOTE: If equipped with air suspension, reactivate the system by turning on the air suspension switch.
Lower the vehicle.
