Default Replacing the climate control light bulbs

Is it possible/how hard is it to replace the bulbs behind the climate control? I am looking at buying a truck and it appears that the bulb on the far right, behind the right side of the air vent position ****, is out. It is dim compared to the other side.

Well, from what I saw behind my own climate controls, I think you can just pop it out, and buy, hmm...I think it's a wedge bulb my buddy called it.

I do know that it's possible though.

I have a 02 and I have that same exact problem. Did u happen to fix it? I am thinking about trying to take off the trim piece around it and see if I can replace the bulb this weekend.

the bulbs are just little peanut bulbs. Theres 3 of them. Remove the two screws holding the climate control in, and twist the bulbs out. I had to replace one about 6 months ago. I think it was like 40 cents from the dealer, but the only reason I got it there was cuz I happened to be picking something else up.

Yes this is correct...I have the same problem in my 02...just watched a video on utube & it looks easy. The trim panel pulls off by grasping the upper corners & pulling straight back then you need a Torx bit to remove the four screws for the climate control the video showed him removing all the plugs & getting the panel all the way out. just 2 bulbs to replace, Think I will do mine today.
