I have a 1999 F150 4x4 screw XLT. My wife bought it for me while I was in Korea for a yr as a welcome home present. The truck did not come with the little remotes and before I go buy them here at Ft Polk LA I want to know if the truck even has the option. Im pretty sure it should have it as I thought that almost all vechicles from Ford from thoses years did. Can anyone tell me where to look for the control module or how to find out if my truck has it. Specs: 1999 F150 XLT 2 in Torsion keys 305/65R18 BFG AT's True Dual Flows Hand Built Ram Air intake

you can tell if it has them by cycling the key. you put the key in the ignition , turn it to the run (not start) i think its 6 times within 10 seconds. it may be 8 times. the last time the doors will lock and unlock by themselves . if it does than the truck has it. that is also how you program the remotes. at the end of cycling the key you just push the new remoye button. the fobs are around 65.00 each around here . sorry if i confused you. i will get the chart at work and type it out step by step. if you would like.

Ive done that and nothing happened. I looked under the dash and sawa a small box that had been unplugged, i plugged it back in and the theft light began to flash intermittently with the key off position and after doing some reading it seems as if the truck should have the remotes as it has theft but as I have an Alabama education reading isint really pushed hard there LOL.

my 99 xlt has them . i think if you get the vin number and call the dealer they might be able to tell if it does. do the power doorlocks work fine ? if they stick it wont go into the correct mode.

Thanks. The dealer here in this little po dunk town is full of idiots. Im from a small town in AL but this place makes it look like NY. Ill get it and call a larger dealer in New Orleans. Thanks
