I mean I bought brand new leaf springs and had them throw an aal on them. And visually didn't notice much of a difference. Again so is the stock bump stop block 2"? In that case I need a 3 inch block to achieve the overall 1" inch extra height I want

Does this ring a bell for kit you got? This is 3" block to replace the stock one which give about an extra inch?

yes that sounds familiar , I called the company I bought them from before I ordered them to check fitment that they were for my truck . also I made sure new blocks were cast iron so there would be less problems

that's true I did not think about towing. maybe mine just rides rough cause it had a 1000lb on every day for 14 years and is just worn out but got worse whit blocks

What you are experiencing is axle wrap... A larger block creates a larger lever and will allow a worn leaf spring to twist even more. I'm experiencing similar issues with my truck and I have 7700 leafs and 3" blocks.
