Any ideas why the brakes might still be dragging? They are not dragging like a typical new set of brakes drag. They are so tight you almost cannot rotate the tire when the truck is jacked up!

Update had the brake drums turned and that helped and i thought the problem went away. Well the truck sat for 2 weeks about while i was replacing the interior carpeting and fixing a little rust.
I go to drive it today and the drivers side brake drums is very hot. while the passender side drum i would say is warm. Could this be a bad master cylinder?

Mine did this a few years back (before i got it from the parents) and it was related to the parking break cable being froze up. I just skimmed thru, not sure if you've ruled this out already or not.

I use the E-brake so it is freed up... the only thing that might be happening is it is not releasing all the way. I will unhook it in the cab and see. I bought a new master cylinder so i will be try to get to that this weekend.

Gotcha! A PIC is worth a thousand guesses. If the above PIC is for the left side (drivers) as was reported in thread, you have the shoes on reversed. Always, the shoe with the longer friction matterial is on the rear of the assembly. The short shoe (primary) is in front and the longer shoe (secondary) is aft. Just take apart and reverse. That should correct your issue.
