2003 4x4 Truck starting problem when warm
My 2003 F-150 4x4 has recently been towed home 3 different times because it won't start after it has warmed up but turns over fine. After it sits and cools then starts again no problem. At first thought it might be the fuel pump but would it be that if it starts right up again after cooling down? After the 2nd time being towed home I had the battery checked and it might have been so-so but still had 2 years left on the warranty. Les Schwab where I had bought the battery prorated it and I had them give me a heavier duty battery. The next trip was fine until I got it home and went to start it to move it around and it was right back to the same old thing. The last time just 2 weeks ago that we took it out it wouldn't start again. When it got towed home fired right back up again. Anyone had the same problem or might have an idea what is going on? I like my truck but not this problem. Thanks for any help you guys might have!

Fuel pump motors themselves can overheat. Does it die while driving then won't restart? Or does it run fine until you shut it down, then it won't restart?
Give more detail? How far do you drive, and how long has the problem been happening? Stuff like that.

Fuel Pump. Very common for the pump check valve to stick with these older trucks now. Change the pump as an assembly and you will be good.

The first time was that it died while driving and then after getting towed home it started right up. Both other times it didn't die while driving. We only have been using it to go to the recycling center about every 6 months lately. All trips are within 1/2 hour or less.
