Default rear cat delete on 2002 supercrew, please help me out

I know there are many threads on this, but on my 2002 supercrew 2wd the muffler was massive (possibly built in cat?...), when I cut it out, there didnt seem to be any rear cats that I could find. how far in front of the muffler are the cats? I know it's a dumb question but I like to research before I do anything to my truck so I can do it quickly and effectively

project01 I could use some help! I know you did something similar

thanks guys,

-Alex

No, they are not built into the muffler. The two cats are way up by the exhuast manifold. one right away before turning undert the truck, and the other one just behind it.

Not sure what size engine you have, but I think they all look the same. I have the 2002 supercrew 5.4l 4X4 FX. I think there is a difference between 2wd and 4wd. Look up a replacement direct fit cat and see what it looks like. Here's a link to the passenger side cat replacement. It has the pipe going over to the driver side.
