Default Ignition Coils

Took my truck in for some misfiring and i had 3 misfires. They wanted $282 for 3 coils. I did some looking around online and came across these Accel coils and not a bad price for all 8 being replaced. Has anyone used these or heard anything about them. Ive heard about the brand Accel before just never used it. Also whats a good plug for a stock 5.4 engine. Thanks. Here's a link to the coils.

Lots of people on here have failures with them.

If you want to risk it, go ahead. Motor craft is Visteon are known for lasting a long time.

I've had Accels in our 98' Expedition for 6 years now.

But... I would certainly go with OEMs for my 2000 SCab 4x4

Oops... my bad.

Now I remember I got Prenco ignition coils for the Expo.

Made in Canada, $26 each vs. $60 for Motorcraft.

I'm running the accel super coils in my truck. They're great coils but like any of these COP's they're prone to failure. I've had 1 go bad in 2 1/2 years. Fortunately, I bought them from Jegs and they have a 3 year replacement on them. I purchased a spare to swap out in the event of failure. You'll be wise to do also.

What about as far as spark plugs. Are Motor craft the best or are Auto lite good. If im going to change all this out i definitely want to do it right. Rather spend the money where needed instead of doing it half way good. Looked at Jegs for the Accel coils and came across Granatelli coils are those any good only about $30 more than Accel. Thanks again for all yall's help with this.
