Default Rancho 4" Lift

I have a 2002 Supercrew with the 5.4. The Rancho lift I bought (RS6488) specifies that I need a new transmission crossmember with the 5.4, which is not included in the kit. The new crossmember is included with the RS6489 kit. According to the techs. at Rancho, this crossemember is only required for the 1997-1999 5.4's. Does anyone else agree with this? Do the 1997-1999 5.4's have a different stock transmission crossmember than my 2002?

I would bitch about them not including it in the kit in the first place, you will be amazed what a little sweet talking can get you.

According to the folks at Rancho, this part is not supposed to be in my kit. I was thinking I may have purchased the wrong kit, but they say I have the right one, and I don't need that part. Actually, they forgot to put a lot of parts in the kit, but a little sweet talking did fix that problem. I just wanted to double check their techs. about my truck not requiring this transmission crossmember.
