Default Radiator Model

Im getting ready to replace the cooling system (water pump, hoses, and radiator, t stat) as part of some regular maintenance now that the truck has hit 150,000 miles.

Looking at Rock auto and see there is a 1" core and a 1 3/8" core. Are they interchangeable? It seems that the fittings are the same on them and connections will line up, so Im thinking "why not get the deeper one to help with more cooling?"

Any wisdom or insights?

One ..I believe was for the super cooling ( Tow ) package...either should work for you just fine.

Glad you asked that question. Broke the overflow nipple on mine getting the overflow hose off. So guess i will get on ebay and buy the standard one for around $65.

No. They are both standard cooling radiators. The tow Package 1A radiator has a 3 core radiator. They both will work.
