P1131 Lack of Upstream Heated Oxygen Sensor Switch - Sensor Indicates Lean - Bank No. 1
Ive been told this means i need a new o2 sensor
its the 4.2 v6 engine if that makes a diff.

you only need to post in one spot. We will find it I promise. On the O2 sensor issue. The not switching indicating lean does not mean the o2 is at fault. You need to check to make sure there is no vacuum leaks, make sure there is no exhaust leaks. Then its possible that its the sensor.

yea i didnt know which section to post it in, wont make a habbit of it. Im certain theres no vacuum leaks or exhaust leaks. When i bought it the previous owner did mention something about o2 sensors. The dealership wants 250-300 to fix it (140 for part plus labor) but i can get the part for 70$ and have a buddy who can install it for free, ill probably get around to that next weekend after i get paid, ill repost and let you know how it goes.
