Default Pulling transmission on a 98 4x4 f150

I was reading around and cant believe my eyes. It says I have to pull the torison bars and brace that support them to pull the trans? I looked up under the truck and it does seem like that but I was wondering if you could get the bolts to from the tcase to the tailhousing out if you could just pull the tcase back about 8 in and let it rest on that crossmember then drop the trans? If i have to pull the torison bars and torison bar crossmember how hard is it gonna be?

Thanks

i think you can just drop the support brackets and cross member for the trans and tranfer case i dont think you will need to move the torsion bars
