Working on my 2002 SuperCrew. Does anyone make a panel for this front cab corner? Or do I need to find a way to patch this? Looked all over, can't find a panel or a post on how to handle this portion of the project.

Driver's side front cab corner. Rocker is just fitted at this time, not welded in yet.

My rocker panel fit right over this part......but I have a Super Cab......Maybe that was it??
Looks like you have some "cuttin' and pastin'" to do yet. Can't be too hard to fabricate a patch after you remove the rusted stuff.....If you got THIS far, it should be no problemo. I'd use at LEAST 18ga steel, 16ga would be good, but probably harder to fabricate;it is THICK! Weld 'er in and Bob's yer Uncle!

Once you tear into that section more, I bet you find the rust goes pretty deep. If it were me I'd go to the junkyard and chop off the entire corner, weld that in and then continue with the rocker patch panel

Yea, just posted on this, same deal. There is an easy way, it'll cost yuh another panel tho. That's if you can't patch it. Like allinon72 mentioned , that rust can go deep. If there's any metal in the inside that still has most of the factory primer coat on it, you can patch successfully.

Other than that, I'll see if I can find my post, mine were/are worse lol,

Default Rust Panels from fixmyrust.com

Hey, I know this thread is "old", but if you're researching rust repair (especially rocker panels), just wanted to let everyone know that has FREE shipping. The code is called "January Free Shipping", but I just ordered rocker covers (it's March, btw) and some other stuff and it calculated $0.00 shipping cost.

Also, the SCrew rockers are on sale for $117; lowest I've found anywhere (and I've searched a LOT of places). Other pieces have very good, if not best, pricing, as well.

Just a heads up.
