Default Problem with fuel filter removal

I've replaced the fuel filter on my truck some 40,000 miles ago using the filter removal tool. Now using the same tool, I can't get the fuel filter to let go of the fuel line. Anybody run into this before?

What he said. I had same issue with my fuel filter few months ago. Used some PB Blaster, let it soak for a lil bit and was able to get it off.

I agree. If you are a do it your selfer I would suggest investing in the metal fuel filter remover. The plastic ones don't last.

My tool is metal. What is this "PB blaster?" Can you get it at any Lowes or Home Depot?

PB Blaster is a Rust Dissolver/Lubricant in a spray can, it's like WD40 only better. Can be purchased at Hardware, Auto Parts Stores, Walmart, etc. Most likely can be found at Lowes, or Home Depot, I have not looked for it at these stores.

I use my compressor to blast the dirt from the Fuel Filter connections, So I guess that PB Blaster would work pretty good also.
