The abs light came on my 2003 Ford f150 truck it is making almost kike a grinding sound. the brake pedal seemed to go down further than normal then pulsed. After shutting off and turning it back on the light was out but truck was making an almost undetectable thumping when driving. Inspected all four brakes and found nothing

I have a 03 scab 4x4. Check your parking brake. I had the grinding sound too and some ticking when driving. Turned out that the parking brake was falling apart.
