Power steering pump help.?!
This morning made a hard right hand turn and about 500ft later i lost all power to the steering wheel out of the blue. I preceded to stop due to massive amounts of smoke and the smell of burning fluid, it looks like something poped or literally exploded power steering fluid everywhere except on the hood area above the reservoir(with the exception of a small splash.) there is none left in the reservoir and im not sure if its the pump or not i didnt have much time to look, had to get her home and head to work. not sure if its a line that popped or the pump..hopefully not the pump.

Probably is one of the pump seals (which means replace the pump) or one the lines burst off it. Gotta find the leak first. After that you'll need to do a full flush to flush the burnt fluid out.

More than likely the high pressure line. Put some fluid in and start the engine and you'll find your leak
